Facebook has launched Graph Search, a search engine to mine the billions of friend connections, locations, likes, comments, and tags that make up its Social Graph backbone. Mark Zuckerberg made the announcement at a media event at Facebook’s Menlo Park headquarters.

Worlds Colliding - Facebook starts to search as Google continues to try and get more social…
Things are getting ripe for a disruption. And this battle will be a big one!!
Purely on Facebook’s graph search though - it is a potential fortune waiting to be unlocked in terms of monetization. Remember paid search is the majority of all digital marketing spends!!

The business model for most street artists is based on tips from passer-by’s.. Last night in the London Underground, I came across this artist looking at it in a disruptive way and using the opportunity digital tools provide to market his services as the main reason to play his music there (making the tips a secondary revenue stream). Its simple, but I thought its disruptive stuff that we might be able to learn something from and look at our business challenges in different ways !! Feel free to bounce off any ideas :-)

Good find by Cnet’s Stephen Shankland:

It looks like Chrome users, not just Android users, will get access to Google Now, the search giant’s technology for bringing weather reports, trip departure reminders, birthday alerts, nearby restaurant reviews, and more to the attention of Android users.

Google Now is one of the few recent Google software projects I’m legitimately excited about. It’s very well done and seemingly getting better by the day.

A sneak peak at ‘google now’ was very exciting, I am looking forward to more from google’s core product teams!!

From coffee to condoms, there’s a subscription service for everyone these days.
Now you don’t have to wait until Xmas to get fun packages on your doorstep!

Cud subscription services completely disrupt the shopping experience and traditional consumer products industry? Is the Ice berg slowly melting with the traditional barriers to entry melting away… Definitely something to think about…
